The 77-cell rigid plastic tray is designed to accommodate paperpots up to 45mm in diameter, 120mm in height, and a 190ml volume per cell. Seedlings grown in the 77-cell tray undergo air root pruning, preventing root coiling and stimulating root branching, which results in an abundant and healthy root system. The tray’s integrated aeration system provides ideal conditions for seedling growth, and the cells are designed for proper root guidance.

Side cutouts in the cells allow for manual removal of the paperpots, while the openings at the bottom and center of the cells facilitate mechanized removal, should the nursery use this management practice. Each cell features four angular ridges that ensure the paperpots remain centered all the way to the bottom of the cell, whether handled manually or mechanically.

Removing the paperpot from the tray is simple and easy, allowing the paperpot—made of biodegradable paper—to be planted directly in the field. The tray can be supported on benches, grids, or wires, and features side flaps that allow it to rest on corner brackets. It also offers a wide flat area for labeling and/or customization, with an option available without side flaps.
